I just found out today that I’m GOING TO THE INDY 500!
What strikes me most about this race….
There are 33 cars on the course…
and 500,000 people in the stands.
It reminds me to ask….am I ON THE COURSE or am I IN THE STANDS?
The difference is GI-NORMOUS.

Those half-million people in the stands aren’t at home thinking, “one day I’ll go to the Indy 500.” They ARE on the course. They’ve put together whatever it took to have the finances, time and transportation to be there.
I’ve heard about the wild party in the infield. Not many folks will experience that beyond pictures on the internet.
Often, it takes something to get oneself to the stands. $1000 ticket to attend the SuperBowl? Something had to have gone right–even if it just means knowing someone who had an extra ticket.
